Ellie is Growing Up
I think that Ellie is just about over the baby stage. She is no longer sleeping on/in the baby mobile play pad and when I asked her today if she was a baby she said "No, I big girl." I can't wait to take her to the 4th of July parade that we have in our town. It is a wonderful small-town celebration and I think she will have a good time. I am sure for her the best part will be all the candy they throw from the floats! I took her and Maggie to the mall on Saturday (Uncle Paul joined us). Every store, picture, or kiosk that had a piece of candy, chocolate, or even a suggestion of a sweet got her pointing and saying I want that. I love sweets myself but this gets really old after a while. She has not had her first appointment with the dentist yet, that will be next month. Her teeth are in desperate need of attention, but I wanted her to feel more comfortable with us and be able to communicate a little better before she went. I have mentioned going to the dentist to her (we had an appointment that needed to be rescheduled) and she definitely did not want to go and seemed afraid. I haven't seen her afraid of too many things so this will be interesting. Maggie and Ellie at the dentist at the same time. I may need some of that "laughing gas" for myself!
