Ellie cried out in her sleep last night for "Mom." She had a hurtful sad tone to her voice. She didn't really wake up and I didn't hear anything else, but I laid there for a long time wondering how many women and passed through her life and heard her say that...biological mom, nanny, foster mom, then me??? What is her red thread story that brings her to me. She has been through so much for such a little girl. Why???
