I can tell that Maggie and Ellie are really bonding as sisters. They do have their spats but for the most part they are having alot of fun playing together instead of competing for everything. They have such great imaginations. I bought them a tent that we put up in the lanaii, which is just outside of my office. Since I work from home I can keep an eye on them while they are playing. We have a table and chairs in there and their Uncle Paul bought them a set of camp dishes so they can have snacks in their tent. Of course, being the princesses that they are, I have also set up a fan inside so they don't sweat too much.
Yesterday, Ellie was inside with Nonnie and Maggie was in my office. I asked Maggie if she loved having a sister. Maggie very quietly and sweetly replied, "Yes, and I love her more than I used to love her." I thought that was so cute and perfectly understandable.

Rita,
the girls sound wonderful! How do you do it being single with two kids?? I am single with two bio boys (ages 24 and 14) and I am currently in the process of adopting a little girl from Ethiopia between the ages of 2-4. I have always wanted a daughter and I can't wait to have her with me. Since I started the adoption process I have been thinking about adopting another little girl after this one goes through. I think it would be good for two children somewhat close in age (1-3 years) to grow up together. As you can see my boys were many years apart and thus did not grow up with the closeness that I want for my girls. I grew up with one sister and we were only a year and a half apart in age........and my boys missed out on that experience.
